Medical Records Technician - Coding

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is seeking multiple Medical Records Technicians for coding to work with us in support of the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System located at 1901 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Temple, TX 76504. The schedule is typically Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with national standards (CMS, AMA CPT, ICD-10-CM/PCS)
• Adhere to all applicable VHA/VA policies and credentialing requirements
• Manage workload volumes and meet VA timeliness requirements
• Address coding backlogs as needed
• Support ongoing technician competency through training and auditing practices
• Communicate effectively with the VA Medical Center and team members
  
  

Qualifications And Requirements

• Experience providing medical records coding services in a healthcare setting
• Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCS-P)
• Knowledge of national coding standards and guidelines (CMS, AMA CPT, ICD-10-CM/PCS)
• Familiarity with VA policies and credentialing requirements
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
