HVAC Tech/Mechanic

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting HVAC Tech/Mechanics to support the North Texas VA Medical Center located at 4500 S. Lancaster Rd, Dallas, TX 75216. Shift schedule will typically be Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, repair, and maintain refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and chilled water systems
• Work on equipment ranging from small domestic units to systems up to 300 HP and central plants up to 500 tons
• Inspect HVAC and refrigeration equipment for proper operation
• Perform preventive maintenance and both major and minor repairs.
• Troubleshoot refrigerant leaks, mechanical failures, and control systems.
• Service compressors and HVAC components
• Adjust, calibrate, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic controls.
• Perform chemical treatment of HVAC water systems.
• Coordinate daily work assignments with the VA COR.
• Provide daily reports including completed work, preventive maintenance, parts replaced, equipment serviced, and follow-up needs
• Complete daily timecards and documentation of work performed.
• Follow VA check-in/check-out procedures and safety requirements
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of journeyman-level refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic
• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and chilled water systems
• Experience performing repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance on large commercial HVAC systems
• Experience in hospital or critical infrastructure environments preferred
• Active Texas HVAC License required
• Siemens Controls Training certification required
• OSHA Certification required
• Ability to read and interpret:
• Blueprints
• Mechanical drawings
• Wiring diagrams
• Schematics

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
