What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager position at Ansay & Associates?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide, with a positive attitude, a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing commercial accounts.
- Provide assistance to Producers in handling and processing new commercial lines business.
- Review renewal requests, endorsements and audits for accuracy.
- Prepare Auto ID Cards, Evidence of Property, Summary of Insurance, Certificates of Insurance and Binders.
- Obtain Renewal information requested by the company underwriter.
- Prepare Pre-Renewal Packets and maintain underwriting and marketing information by carrier.
- Review company issued New and Renewal policies for accuracy in rating, typing, endorsements forms and coverages.
- Review all Accord applications for accuracy.
- Work with Accounting to invoice all premium bearing Agency bill transactions
- Handle telephone requests and written miscellaneous correspondence (ex: Bank requests).
- Process cancellations requests.
- Keep up to date on insurance forms and coverage changes through bulletins and circulars.
- Process claims and follows up as needed.
- Service commercial line select accounts in a manner to eliminate gaps in coverage, thus reducing our E&O exposures.
- Provide prompt, accurate, courteous service to customers, producers and company personnel.
- Grow and develop talents and insurance knowledge in conjunction with The Ansay Way to the highest level possible.
- Complete necessary Accord Applications for account rounding and adding additional lines of business.
- Remarket existing business as needed based on market needs and customer requests.
Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 3 years of Commercial Lines experience preferred.

Thorough understanding of Commercial Lines insurance products and markets preferred.

State P&C insurance license—or willingness to obtain within required timeframe.

At least one professional insurance designation (CISR, CIC, CRM, etc.)—or willingness to obtain.

Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills; able to think creatively and “outside the box.”

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Highly detail-oriented with strong listening and organizational abilities.
