Estimator/Project Manager

Commercial Construction Company is seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction estimating and project management, with the ability to take ownership of projects from the estimating and bidding process through project completion.

This position will be an integral part of creating accurate and competitive estimates and bids while also managing projects to ensure they are completed successfully, on time, and within budget.

ResponsibilitiesEstimating

• Prepare accurate, competitive estimates and bids for commercial construction projects.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs from plans, specifications, and other project documents.
• Review plans, specifications, addenda, and other technical documents for scope requirements.
• Solicit, review, and analyze supplier and subcontractor estimates for scope accuracy and completeness.
• Attend pre-bid conferences and job walks, ask pertinent questions, and communicate site conditions and other relevant information to team members and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain historical cost data for conceptual and rough-order-of-magnitude estimates.
• Perform cost/benefit analysis of building systems and provide value-engineering recommendations during the estimating process.
• Manage multiple bids and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Project Management

• Manage commercial construction projects from contract award through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members.
• Review project documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project correspondence.
• Monitor project costs, progress, quality, and overall performance.
• Identify potential issues early and work with the project team to develop practical solutions.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed according to contract requirements, schedule, and budget.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Proven experience in commercial construction estimating and project management.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, materials, and building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Experience preparing detailed quantity take-offs and competitive construction estimates.
• Experience reviewing subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Strong knowledge of project costs, scheduling, and construction documentation.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, estimates, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with estimating and/or construction project management software is a plus.
• Commercial construction experience is required; experience with [specific project types, if applicable] is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
