Estimator Job Opening
We are seeking an Estimator to work with our Sales Team to create detailed and accurate estimates for various commercial and agricultural construction projects. This full-time position reports to the Project Coordinator and works out of our main office in Colby, KS. While some time may be spent working remotely, a fair portion of your work week will also be spent in the office during the 8 to 5 hours and regularly going onsite to gather info for projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Meet and collaborate with customers and/or Sales/Design Team to understand the projects being developed
- Determine project needs for labor, equipment, materials, and other resources
- Gather and analyze financial data to estimate and allocate costs for proposed projects
- Draft cost estimates for projects based on data analysis and research and distribute to the Sales Team
- Visit jobsites when necessary to gather information needed to complete estimations
- Review, analyze and identify cost-reduction opportunities by evaluating job cost information.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- General knowledge of construction standard practices
- General knowledge of cost accounting principles
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
- Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings
Education and Experience:
- Construction and/or agricultural experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to access and navigate all areas of construction sites
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
