Work Hours: 08:30 AM – 05:30 PM
Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Logistics professional with strong experience in drayage and freight forwarding operations. The role focuses on managing container movement, coordinating with carriers, ensuring on-time deliveries, and supporting operational efficiency across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end drayage operations including arrival notices, ISF updates, delivery orders, and empty container returns
- Coordinate with drayage carriers and ensure smooth daily shipment scheduling
- Communicate urgently with carriers during delays or operational issues
- Identify and arrange alternative (backup) carriers when capacity is limited
- Monitor container delivery status and share updates with internal teams and customers
- Track, analyze, and report performance of logistics service providers (drayage, rail, terminals)
- Support continuous improvement in on-time delivery, transit times, and RFQ response efficiency
- Prepare monthly KPI reports for drayage operations
- Work with pre-pull yards to identify efficient logistics solutions when required
- Maintain proper documentation of corrective actions and improvement plans
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and other assigned logistics duties
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or GED with relevant experience)
- Strong experience in international freight forwarding, especially ocean shipping and drayage operations
- Good understanding of port-to-door container movement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (strong Excel, including Pivot Tables required)
- Experience in logistics planning and cost/time optimization
- Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic/international)

- Experience working with drayage carriers, rail terminals, and logistics service providers
- KPI reporting and operational performance tracking experience
