Psychiatrist – Adult Inpatient (Onsite)
We are seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Psychiatrist for a full-time, onsite adult inpatient opportunity in Alton, Illinois. This role offers a predictable weekday schedule, no call responsibilities, and a supportive clinical environment, along with comprehensive benefits including malpractice insurance coverage and relocation assistance.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- 37.5 hours per week (30-minute unpaid lunch)
- No weekends | No holidays | No after-hours call
- 100% onsite (no remote or hybrid)
- Adult inpatient population in a secure clinical setting
- Average caseload: ~22 patients per day
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluation and ongoing treatment for adult inpatients
- Manage psychopharmacology and document medication changes
- Complete required progress notes, evaluations, and clinical reports
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team
- Participate in treatment planning and clinical reviews
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active Illinois medical license
- Active DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance license
