The Annandale Health & Community Services campus offers the full continuum of care including a 42 bed skilled nursing facility, independent and assisted living apartments, memory cottages, and a wellness center. We strive to provide excellent care for our residents with a 5-Star facility rating.
Responsible, as the nursing organization executive, to perform administrative work in planning, organizing, coordinating and directing nursing staff from the perspective of the organization as a whole. The authority of the position is exercised to fulfill responsibilities to the residents/tenants and their rights, the profession of nursing and the laws and regulations governing long-term care and housing with services. As the nurse executive, he/she assumes administrative, financial, educational, and regulatory compliance responsibilities for the department and staff. He/she ensures that the standards of gerontological nursing practice are established and in place. He/she monitors, supervises, and evaluates nursing care with respect to all aspects of the Nursing Practice Act.
He/she provides leadership, vision and support for the nursing department of Annandale Care Center for advancement and collaboration with other disciplines, timely decision making and appropriate resident/tenant care. The director of nursing services is accountable to the administrator, residents, nursing profession and physician.
