Job Overview
The Vice President of Fintech (VP, Americas) will serve as a senior member of Animoca Brands’ executive leadership team, responsible for leading fintech strategy, product innovation, and operational delivery across the Americas.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP will oversee financial technology initiatives, digital product development, operational processes, and regulatory compliance to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and market requirements.
The ideal candidate is an experienced fintech executive with deep knowledge of blockchain, digital assets, and financial services ecosystems. They will have a proven ability to implement innovative fintech solutions, drive operational excellence, and achieve measurable business outcomes in competitive and regulated markets.
Key Responsibilities
Fintech Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute Animoca Brands’ fintech strategy for the Americas, aligned with corporate objectives.
Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on fintech innovation, digital asset integration, and emerging market trends.
Define KPIs, success metrics, and frameworks to evaluate fintech product performance, adoption, and operational efficiency.
Ensure consistent execution of global fintech standards, processes, and compliance frameworks.
Product Innovation & Operations
Lead initiatives to design, implement, and scale innovative fintech products and solutions.
Oversee digital product delivery, client onboarding, and operational processes to ensure seamless user experiences.
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and technology teams to mitigate operational, security, and regulatory risks.
Represent Animoca Brands at industry forums, fintech events, and client meetings to showcase capabilities and build credibility.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with product, marketing, sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure fintech initiatives align with regional and global objectives.
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing fintech teams, fostering innovation, accountability, and a results-driven culture.
Promote a culture of transparency, compliance, and continuous improvement across fintech operations.
Ensure alignment between regional fintech activities and headquarters’ strategy.
Performance Analytics & Continuous Improvement
Monitor operational KPIs, product adoption, and client feedback to evaluate effectiveness and drive enhancements.
Leverage data-driven insights to optimize fintech processes, product performance, and operational efficiency.
Support executive reporting to the CEO and board on fintech performance, market opportunities, and strategic risks.
Qualifications
Over 20 years of senior leadership experience in fintech, digital assets, or financial technology operations.
Proven track record of developing, scaling, and delivering secure, compliant, and innovative fintech solutions.
Deep understanding of blockchain, digital assets, and enterprise or consumer financial ecosystems.
Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills with experience influencing executive-level decisions.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, technology, or related discipline required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
