We have two doctors, Dr. Ashley Maust DVM and Dr. Vincent Svonavec VMD, whose fields of interests span soft tissue surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, ultrasonography and endoscopy. Our doctors and staff are constantly pursuing continued education to provide the latest technology and treatment techniques for our patients.
Job description: We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will assist in providing the highest quality of care to animals, working closely with our veterinarians to ensure the well-being of our patients.
Duties include:
- Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood counts
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and dental procedures
- Capture radiographs
- Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian
- Place intravenous catheters and perform venipuncture
- Maintain animal husbandry by ensuring clean and safe conditions for all patients
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection and maintain a sterile environment
- Demonstrate proficiency in veterinary terminology
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures, X-ray techniques, and experience in animal catheterization and venipuncture
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry practices
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to ensure the safety of animals and staff
Schedule:
- 10-hour shifts
- Monday-Friday
- Weekends/On-Call as needed
