Job Description:
Our established general practice veterinary clinic in Stephens City, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our growing team. Schedule & Shift Structure:
- 4-Day Work Week: Full-time hours completed in just four days.
- 10-Hour Shifts: Structured, reliable daily shifts to maximize your time on and off the floor.
- Rotating Saturdays: Shared weekend responsibilities distributed fairly among our technical staff
Core Responsibilities:
· Patient Nursing Care: Administer medications, perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, and gather comprehensive patient histories.
· Anesthesia & Surgery: Confidently induce, monitor, and maintain anesthesia during routine general surgeries and dentistry procedures.
· Diagnostics: Perform digital radiologic procedures, collect diagnostic laboratory samples, and run in-house lab equipment.
· Client Education: Act as a primary resource for clients by explaining treatment plans, post-operative care instructions, and preventative medicine protocols.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active license as a Veterinary Technician (LVT) in the state of Virginia.
- Experience: Previous experience in a general practice setting is preferred, though motivated new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, teamwork-driven mindset, and proficiency with veterinary practice management software
