With seven locations across Florida, our full-service wellness center in Fort Lauderdale provides comprehensive care, including medical oncology, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, surgical oncology, and clinical trials.
Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced full time Veterinary Technician to join our team in our Fort Lauderdale location. As an integral part of the veterinary team, the Veterinary Technician assists doctors throughout the examination, diagnosis, and treatment phases.
Key Responsibilities for a Veterinary Technician:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and treatments.
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures.
- Place IV catheters and draw blood samples.
- Operate and maintain patient monitoring equipment.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans.
Qualifications for a Veterinary Technician:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous veterinary surgical experience is required.
- Experience with anesthesia protocols, IV catheters, blood drawing, and patient monitoring is highly desired.
- Strong communication skills and comfort in speaking with clients.
