Overview
The Inspection Coordination Manager oversees all vehicle inspection activities supporting the Title & Registration (T&R) process. This role ensures vehicles are routed efficiently to the most appropriate inspection locations, that inspection documentation is properly tracked, and that communication between Sales, Dispatch, and Registration teams remains seamless. The manager provides oversight, process consistency, and performance monitoring for the inspection coordination function.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
Supervise the Inspection Coordinators responsible for advising Sales and Dispatch on optimal inspection routing. Establish clear service-level expectations for inspection response times, documentation turnaround, and tracking accuracy. Support collaboration with Dispatch, Sales, and T&R teams to maintain visibility and accountability across all inspections.
Process Management
Maintain and refine the inspection tracking system to ensure all requests are logged, prioritized, and monitored through completion. Review and approve inspection locations to ensure cost-effective routing. Ensuring shipping labels are created in a timely manner to received documentation before expiration dates.
Cross-Department Coordination
Work closely with the Dispatch team to align driver assignments and shipping label issuance. Coordinate with Sales to ensure inspection locations, costs, transport timing, and document retrieval are optimized for efficiency and accuracy. Communicate inspection status updates and delays to T&R leadership to prevent downstream processing bottlenecks. Verify invoices received by inspections locations are accurate before the hand-off to Accounts Payable.
Compliance & Quality Control
Ensure all inspections meet applicable regulatory or client-specific requirements. Monitor paperwork completion and ensure inspection tracking systems are properly transmitted to the T&R team for processing. Audit inspection data periodically verify accuracy and timeliness.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Analyze inspection turnaround time, cost efficiency, and location utilization. Identify opportunities to improve routing logic, data accuracy, and interdepartmental communication. Develop training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the inspection coordination function at the state/jurisdictional level.
