Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between Van Zandt County probation offices and assigned probationers with mental illness
- Identify, assess, and link clients to Andrews Center and other appropriate community services
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing monitoring at clients' homes and other community locations as needed
- Educate criminal justice agencies and clients on Mental Health (MH) and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) treatment and available services
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports in accordance with program and agency requirements
- Travel extensively throughout the service area to meet client and program needs
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field required
- Experience in mental health services preferred
- Experience working with the criminal justice system preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work independently in community-based settings
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively
