We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Civil Estimator to join our team in Fort Myers, Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate, competitive bids for public-sector projects including underground utilities, water & sewer mains, lift stations, stormwater systems, roadway improvements.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, labor and equipment analysis, and material costing.
- Review plans, specifications, and addenda to identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
- Collaborate the team for constructability reviews and cost optimization.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors for timely, competitive pricing.
- Support project handoff to operations teams with clear estimates and assumptions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction, with strong focus on underground utilities, sitework, or public infrastructure.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil construction plans and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of Florida public bidding processes and requirements.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Excel
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Florida for site visits as needed.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing thorough, professional bid packages.
