Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates for roadway, utility, grading, and site development projects.
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Prepare bid proposals and ensure timely submissions.
- Coordinate with project managers and operations during preconstruction.
- Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions.
Requirements:
- 3 years of estimating experience in heavy civil, roadway, or underground utility construction.
- Strong knowledge of DOT, municipal, and civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience with quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost analysis.
- Proficiency with estimating software (HeavyBid, HCSS, AGTEK, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).
- Strong Microsoft Excel and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.
