SUMMARY
Under general supervision from the Plant Manager, performs various general production duties and supervises employees and orders on the production floor to ensure the work area is safe and clean. Some duties involve work of a confidential nature which requires knowledge of the company’s customers and pricing policies.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Adhere to the Production Schedules delivery dates to exceed the customers’ expectations.
- Set up orders with appropriate personnel on work cells or lines.
- Supervise the jobs running at designated stations and perform quality checks when necessary.
- Perform daily WO validation and release when necessary.
· Ensure project documents are complete, current, and managed appropriately.
· Determine labor requirements and make decisions or recommendations on personnel.
· Assist the Quality Department by updating written procedures to reflect improved processes.
- Ensure that all materials are handled and disposed of properly and all work areas remain clean and safe.
- When necessary, submit requests for label printing and equipment requirements.
- Perform formal and on the job training to production employees and temporary employees.
- Use a hand truck or pallet jack to load, unload, move, or stack materials or products.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Must always practice good safety habits.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED, college education preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a production environment.
- Minimum of three years of experience managing employees.
- Lean Six Sigma training and on the job experience.
- Must be familiar with computers running the Windows operating system and be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Pallet jack experience and forklift certification preferred.
- Good communication skills required.
- Must pay acute attention to detail.
- Must have excellent time management skills.
- Must have strong organizational, detail-oriented, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
- Must be able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to work as a creative, flexible, innovative, and effective member of a team.
- Must be able to read/write English legibly, count accurately, and perform simple math.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
- Must be punctual with good attendance.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 30 lbs., additional weight with assistance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
