What You’ll Do

• Guide & Grow the Team: Oversee and develop a diverse engineering engineering group improving ad algorithms and bidding mechanisms.
• Partner Cross-Functionally: Align closely with product and sales to focus on client acquisition, retention, and spend efficiency.
• Ship User Impact: Oversee features that enhance user experience and deliver value to both buyers and sellers on the technology platform.
• Own ML & Full-Stack Delivery: Guide initiatives spanning model training/serving and robust, scalable application engineering.
• Set Technical Strategy: Define a roadmap for growth, from auction models and bidding to technology platform performance and reliability.
• Level Up the Org: Champion mentorship, career development, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Integrate Broadly: Ensure Sponsored Results is well-integrated with the broader technology platform and shared services.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Proven success leading full-stack development engineering groups for consumer-facing products.
• Experience with machine learning and advertising technology platforms (auctions, bidding, ranking) is highly desirable.
• Strong product sense and business acumen, with a track record of data-driven growth.
• Expertise developing and scaling complex, high-traffic systems that impact client outcomes.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and modern distributed architectures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across engineering, product, and go-to-market.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership, accountability, and high-impact execution.

Salary Information

NYC Base Salary Range: $230,000 — $345,000 USD. Certain roles may also be eligible for variable pay and/or equity. Actual compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and skills.
