What You’ll Do
- Lead Engineering Teams: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of engineers working on complex financial systems.
- Deliver Mission-Critical Platforms: Oversee systems supporting trading, risk management, and regulatory compliance, ensuring reliability and low latency.
- Define Technical Roadmaps: Shape medium- and long-term technical strategy for financial infrastructure and data platforms.
- Foster Engineering Excellence: Establish best practices in testing, deployment, observability, and secure software development.
- Partner with Stakeholders: Collaborate with product, risk, and business teams to align technical investments with strategic priorities.
- Drive Innovation: Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies in cloud, distributed computing, and AI/ML to improve platform performance and capabilities.
- Leadership Experience: 8 years of engineering experience, including 3 years managing teams in enterprise or financial services environments.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in backend engineering, distributed systems, or large-scale data platforms.
- Languages & Tools: Proficiency in Java, Python, or C ; experience with modern frameworks and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Financial Systems Exposure: Experience with trading, risk, payments, or compliance systems strongly preferred.
- Operational Excellence: Proven track record delivering highly available, secure, and performant systems in production.
- People Development: Skilled at coaching, mentoring, and growing engineering talent at multiple levels.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
