Anderson Foundries is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual and CNC machine tools to produce precision components, repair equipment, fabricate tooling, and support foundry operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and other machining equipment.
- Manufacture, repair, and modify tooling, machine components, fixtures, and foundry equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD models, and work instructions.
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and preventive maintenance.
- Repair worn or damaged equipment components.
- Maintain quality standards and ensure parts meet required tolerances.
- Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
- Keep work areas organized, clean, and safe.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of machining experience.
- Experience operating CNC and manual machine tools.
- Experience in heavy manufacturing, foundries, steel mills, fabrication shops, or industrial maintenance environments.
- Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Trade school, apprenticeship, or technical degree in machining or manufacturing technology.
