CNC Machinist
Location: Spiceland, IN | Shift: Second Shift Available | Pay: Up to $28/hr | Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire
Aegis is partnered with a major manufacturing company located in the Spiceland, IN area that is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their Machine Shop team. In this role, you will manufacture blueprint items, help reduce costs, and ensure production runs efficiently. This is a hands-on, technical position with opportunities to contribute to equipment maintenance, new equipment start-ups, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to manufacture precision parts
- Maintain and improve machine shop equipment, including CNC and EDM machines
- Assist in new equipment start-ups and CNC upkeep
- Program EDM machines and support die tech/parts cage departments in cost reduction efforts
- Troubleshoot equipment using electrical circuits and PLCs
- Collaborate on projects as assigned to improve efficiency and quality
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher in machining, manufacturing, or related field (preferred)
- 1–5 years of professional experience in machining/manufacturing
- Strong blueprint analysis, CNC programming/setup, and PLC troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ERP systems
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Able to work independently and as part of a team while meeting deadlines
