Core Responsibilities
- Manage select project assignments ensuring delivery on budget, on schedule, and to client expectations
- Execute work with a high level of technical accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and building codes
- Monitor construction activities and document progress to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Support project scheduling, including development, tracking, and analysis
- Prepare monthly project billing and receivables
- Assist in preparing proposals, RFP responses, and other client deliverables under tight deadlines
- Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with cost estimating
- Support permitting processes and regulatory compliance efforts
- Assist with project setup, document management, bid coordination, and estimate development
- Assist with file setup, management, kicking off bids and estimates
- Utilize and maintain project management and construction technologies
- Assist with monthly billing, receivables tracking, and project closeout processes
- Promote and uphold a strong safety culture both in the office and in the field
- Provide field support and supervision of construction activities as needed
Position Requirements
- Able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with co-workers, clients and subcontractors
- Able to work with minimal oversight, but take direction effectively from managers
- Able to meet deadlines, both internally and externally
- Other project duties as assigned by senior staff
- Travel and/or field work may be required
Qualifications
Education, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or 3 years of proven project management and/or estimating experience in lieu of education
- Candidates should be familiar with interpreting plan sets, estimating and take-offs, and as-builts
- Must be able to perform complex tasks and perform exceptionally when handling conflicting deadlines
- Requires excellent technology, computer, and document management proficiencies, with proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Ability to read, adjust, navigate, and make minor edits to CAD drawings efficiently
- Preference will be given to applications with an estimating background – quantity take offs, cost estimating, recognition of cost drivers and potential risks
- Effective communicator, verbal and written
Special:
- OSHA-40 HAZWOPER certification preferred, but not required
