We’re partnering with a growing telecom construction firm seeking a Director of Fiber Construction to lead their OSP/ISP build programs—with a strong focus on data center and enterprise network projects.
This role suits a hands-on operations leader who knows how to turn engineering plans into high-quality, safely delivered builds. You’ll oversee regional construction teams, manage key clients, and ensure every project is delivered with precision and accountability.
What You’ll Do
- Lead day-to-day field operations for aerial, underground, and inside-plant fiber builds.
- Oversee project managers, crews, and subcontractors to deliver safely, on time, and within budget.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients—serving as the senior point of contact on active programs.
- Implement standardized construction workflows, QA/QC processes, and safety protocols.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop field leadership talent.
- Drive operational excellence through resource planning, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
- 8 years in OSP/ISP fiber construction, including 3 years in a senior leadership or operations management role.
- Proven success managing data center or large-scale fiber builds from planning through close-out.
- Deep knowledge of fiber splicing, testing (OTDR), make-ready, permitting, and construction standards.
- Strong client-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA certification and a commitment to a zero-incident safety culture.
- Ability to travel regionally (up to 35–40%).
