Anchor Talent has partnered with a small global SaaS company who is seeking a Systems Administrator to support and evolve internal IT systems within a SaaS and DevOps-driven environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining reliable system operations while contributing to automation, infrastructure improvements, and cross-functional support with engineering and DevOps teams.
This is a hands-on, remote/hybrid role that requires a balance of systems administration, user support, and infrastructure awareness across both cloud and on-prem environments.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support internal systems, servers, and network infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments
- Administer Windows and Linux systems, ensuring stability, performance, and security
- Support virtualization environments (VMware or equivalent) and system integrations
- Manage backup, disaster recovery, and failover processes
- Administer user access and identity management systems (e.g., Active Directory, JumpCloud, Okta, or similar)
- Manage endpoint lifecycle, including provisioning, configuration, and decommissioning
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation workflows (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar)
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve system efficiency
- Support integration of automation into system provisioning, monitoring, and support workflows
- Monitor system health and respond to security events and incidents in collaboration with InfoSec teams
- Support patching, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives
- Assist with implementation of security best practices and policies
- Troubleshoot and prioritize hardware, software, network, and access issues
- Provide support for internal teams, including engineering and DevOps
- Document systems, processes, and resolutions for internal knowledge sharing
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure, or IT operations roles
- Experience supporting both Windows and Linux environments
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing)
- Identity and access management
- Experience with scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.)
- Experience working in a SaaS, DevOps, or engineering-driven environment
- Familiarity with Ubiquiti/UniFi or similar networking platforms
- Experience with monitoring, logging, or SIEM tools
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code or automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
Work Environment:
- Location: Austin, TX (hybrid role with onsite expectations)
- Collaboration with DevOps, engineering teams, business and operational stakeholders
- Occasional after-hours or on-call support may be required
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
