Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-surg Peds, Emergency Room Nurse (ICU)

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse specializing in Med-surg Peds and Emergency Room care (ICU), you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care and treatment to pediatric and critical care patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, and monitor patient progress. Your expertise in emergency care and pediatric medicine will be essential in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assess and evaluate pediatric and critical care patients

2. Develop and implement individualized care plans

3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

4. Monitor and record patient vital signs and progress

5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

6. Provide education and support to patients and families

7. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care

8. Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate care as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Valid RN license in the state of practice

2. BLS and ACLS certification

3. Previous experience in Med-surg Peds and/or ICU nursing preferred

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

5. Ability to work under pressure and in high-stress situations

6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

7. Knowledge of emergency medical procedures and pediatric care

8. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
