Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room RN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Operating Room RN to join our team. The Registered Nurse Operating Room RN will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, providing patient care before, during, and after surgery, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients in the operating room.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and other supplies.
2. Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery to ensure their safety and well-being.
3. Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the surgeon.
4. Perform pre-operative assessments and develop care plans for patients undergoing surgery.
5. Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and post-operative care.
6. Assist with the maintenance and organization of the operating room.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room nursing.
3. BLS and ACLS certification.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
