Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room (RN)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Operating Room (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing care and support to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. The RN will collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient care throughout the entire surgical process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist with patient assessments prior to surgery
2. Provide pre-operative education to patients and their families
3. Assist with surgical procedures by monitoring patient vital signs and assisting the surgical team
4. Administer medications and anesthesia as prescribed by the surgeon
5. Monitor and assess patient progress during surgery and post-operative recovery
6. Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the surgical team
- Commitment to providing compassionate and quality patient care
