Job Title: Obstetrics RN (Med Surg)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Obstetrics RN to join our team in providing care for pregnant women and newborns in a medical-surgical setting. The Obstetrics RN will be responsible for providing quality patient care, monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, and assisting healthcare providers in labor and delivery procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide routine and emergency care to pregnant women before, during, and after childbirth
- Monitor maternal vital signs, fetal heart rate, and contraction patterns
- Assist in labor induction, epidural administration, and other medical procedures
- Educate patients on prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in obstetrics nursing
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Knowledge of labor and delivery procedures and protocols
