Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med-surg Adult, Orthopedic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Med-surg Adult, Orthopedic team. The ideal candidate will provide expert care to adult patients with orthopedic conditions, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their treatment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans under the direction of the medical team

2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

3. Monitor patients' vital signs and symptoms, and report any changes to the medical team

4. Assist with surgical procedures and post-operative care for orthopedic patients

5. Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques

6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care for patients

7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Valid RN license in the state of practice

2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting, with a focus on orthopedic care preferred

3. BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

5. Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

6. Attention to detail and critical thinking skills

7. Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team

8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
