Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse/Nursery/Obstetrics RN/Post Partum/Antepartum
Job Summary:
As a Labor and Delivery Nurse/Nursery/Obstetrics RN/Post Partum/Antepartum, you will be responsible for providing care and support to women during their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum period. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitoring vital signs of mother and baby during labor and delivery
2. Assisting with labor pain management techniques
3. Monitoring fetal heart rate and uterine contractions
4. Providing emotional support and education to expectant mothers
5. Assisting with the delivery of the baby and immediate postpartum care
6. Monitoring mother and baby for any complications post-delivery
7. Educating new mothers on postpartum care and breastfeeding techniques
8. Collaborating with physicians to develop and implement care plans
9. Assisting with antepartum care for high-risk pregnancies
10. Providing support and education to families in the nursery setting
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
3. Certification in Obstetrics and/or Neonatal Resuscitation preferred
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
6. Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Commitment to providing patient-centered care
9. Knowledge of evidence-based practice in obstetrics
10. Willingness to continue education and training in the field
