Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Emergency Room Nurse to join our team at our state-of-the-art medical facility in Corvallis, OR. As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing quality care to patients with acute and critical medical conditions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive timely and effective treatment under high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in the emergency room
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical history
- Assist in the implementation of emergency procedures as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams to ensure effective patient care
- Educate patients and families on their medical conditions and treatment options
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the State of Oregon
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Emergency Room Nurse
- BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- ACLS, PALS, and BLS certification
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
