Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) – Night Shift
Location: 3600 NW Samaritan Drive, Corvallis, OR 97330
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: Every 3rd weekend required
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Facility Size: 150–500 beds
EMR System: EPIC
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join a fast-paced acute care facility in Corvallis, OR. The ideal candidate will be proficient in emergency nursing practices, capable of handling high-acuity patients, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to individuals presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in the Emergency Department
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on severity
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and respond effectively to changes in status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR system
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
Requirements
- Current, active, and unencumbered Oregon RN license (required at submission)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Healthcare Provider level
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Verification of high school diploma or equivalent (required per CAP regulations for moderate complexity testing)
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–2 years of recent Emergency Department experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs and departmental demands
