We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with strong expertise in AWS PostgreSQL (14 ) and Oracle Apps DBA to join our engineering team. This role is primarily focused on PostgreSQL database administration (60%), with additional responsibility for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) administration (40%).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of PostgreSQL databases while also supporting Oracle EBS environments through application administration, patching, cloning, and production support. You will work closely with application, infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to maintain database health, optimize system performance, automate routine administrative tasks, and support mission-critical enterprise applications.
This role requires hands-on experience with PostgreSQL 14 in AWS (RDS/Aurora), as well as Oracle EBS administration, including ADOP, AutoConfig, Rapid Clone, Concurrent Managers, Workflow, and WebLogic. The successful candidate will have a strong operational mindset, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring high availability and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of hands-on DBA experience with Oracle (11g/19c) and PostgreSQL (12 )
- Deep expertise in query tuning and execution plan analysis for both platforms
- Experience working in cloud environments AWS RDS/Aurora
- Proficiency with Oracle tools: SQL*Plus, RMAN, AWR, ADDM, OEM
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL tools: psql, pg_stat_*, pgBadger, pgBouncer, Patroni, pg_activity
- Experience designing and managing monitoring and alerting pipelines
- Strong understanding of HA/DR architectures Data Guard, RAC, streaming replication, failover clustering
- Solid scripting skills in Shell, Python, or PL/SQL / PL/pgSQL for automation
