Sr Java Developer

Hello,

We have 5 urgent openings for "Sr Java Developer". These are hybrid roles.

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and enhance complex Java-based enterprise applications.
• Modernize legacy Java applications by migrating to current Java versions (Java 17/21) and modern Spring Boot frameworks.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices deployed in AWS.
• Build and support containerized applications using Docker.
• Contribute to cloud deployments and CI/CD pipelines with an understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Develop new features while improving maintainability and reducing technical debt.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in architecture and system design discussions focused on scalability and performance.
• Support automated testing efforts and contribute to test automation where appropriate.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, Claude, or similar LLM-based tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across the development team.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
• Deep understanding of Java modernization, including migration from legacy Java versions to Java 17/21.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience working with large, complex codebases and legacy applications.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and deploying applications to AWS.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native application development.
• Experience working with MySQL or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with Redis caching.
• Experience with hosted Kafka or other event-driven messaging platforms.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience participating in system design discussions focused on scalability and performance.

Preferred Qualification

• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Front-end development experience with React.
• Experience supporting or migrating JSP-based applications.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Playwright.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Familiarity with AI-powered software engineering tools and modern developer workflows.
