To help accomplish this mission, we are searching for Material Handler personnel responsible for receiving inventory items, verifying incoming products, stock inventory, and distributing and replenishing production as needed. Experience with various types of material handling equipment, including a sit-down forklift.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This position plays a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of products within our warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform order picking and ensure accurate loading and unloading of products.
- Move materials within the warehouse, including heavy lifting as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking materials and supplies.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks in the workplace.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries
- Move products to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks
- Maintain traceability of parts and perform data entry.
- Assist with inventory control by keeping accurate records of goods received and shipped
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Able to use hand tools and power tools
- Load and unload parts from coating process
- Count, sort, assemble and pack parts
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Data entry of part location stored in the warehouse into an ERP/WMS system.
- Read and interpret drawings and understand specification requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Valid forklift certification is preferred; OSHA training is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Experience with order picking processes and materials handling techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
