Job Title: Senior Safety Specialist,
Location: Radford, VA
Pay: $45.00 - $47.88 hourly
This is 100% onsite.
Please NOTE that this is a contract position for 2 years.
Responsibilities:
- You will be instrumental in supporting the site's Safety programs. Included responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations. Work hand-in-hand with the operating units and maintenance to achieve 100% compliance.
- Proactively identify safety issues. Strive to minimize recordable injury rates by working collaboratively and closely with the SHE department and the entire Radford site.
- Work with a variety of safety-related programs (LO/TO, Confined Space, hotwork, electrical, guarding, walking surfaces, risk assessment, DoD Regs for ARMY
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a safety-related discipline with four (4) years of related experience, or the overall equivalent experience.
- Well-versed in safety regulations, particularly OSHA. Experience in conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
Salary : $45 - $48
