What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplier Quality Engineer position at Amtec, LLC?
JOB REQUIREMENTS: PPOSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for being the POC for
supplier quality issues. Verifies issues at receiving inspection and
communicates with product team and suppliers to find resolution.
Coordinates with buyers for supplier corrective actions and tracks
responses. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Work with receiving
inspection to verify non-conformances and document issues being found
with incoming material. 2. Be the point of contact between AMTEC and
suppliers for any quality issues, and complete authorization to ship
(ATS) documentation. 3. Issue and track supplier corrective actions
(SCAR\'s). 4. Visit suppliers to perform supplier audits and address
ongoing issues including product validation onsite. 5. Build timelines
to resolve supplier issues and verify effectiveness of corrective
actions. 6. Assist quality engineers and suppliers with Acceptance
Inspection Equipment (AIE) listings. 7. Assist with supplier FAAT both
onsite at AMTEC and at supplier facilities. 8. Perform audits of
supplier QMS and manufacturing processes. 9. Support the Purchasing
department with qualifying new suppliers. 10. Review supplier quality
requirements to ensure all contractual requirements are properly flowed
to suppliers. TRAVEL Travel (normally 25% - 50% of work time).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position has no direct supervisory
responsibilities. This is a Salary Exempt Full-time position. Due to the
nature of the work performed within our facilities, U.S. Citizenship is
required. Must be able to obtain BATFE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,
Firearms & Explosives) approval. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Requires a
Bachelor\'s degree and/or 4 years Quality Assurance/Inspection
experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of GD&T a plus.
Knowledge of quality systems and problem-solving skills (ISO 9001, Lean
Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, and Failure Analysis). Able to travel to supplier
