What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift Maintenance position at AMSI APPLIED MATERIAL SOLUTIONS INC?
Major Function:
Maintenance of all Applied Material Solution assets at both plant locations.
Major Duties:
- Daily, weekly, monthly, annual checks, maintenance and inspections for boilers, (steam & hot oil) and nitrogen system
- Preventative maintenance and repair on pumps, meters, compressors, reactors, HVAC, portable heating units, and fire suppression systems
- Repair / replace hoses, bulbs, filters as needed and conduct checks as a preventative measure to prevent outages
- Promptly respond to requests / calls from plant and office team members for maintenance assistance
- Complete tasks as assigned by manager & report status of any incomplete projects, down and/or damaged equipment
- Assist with snow removal and/or groundskeeping as needed.

- Perform miscellaneous warehouse duties including, but not limited to, cleaning & housekeeping
- Demonstrate a high level of problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Cross train in other areas of the plant as time allows.
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
- Familiar with company concepts, practices and procedures.
- Must be able to perform a variety of tasks utilizing individual initiative.
- Must be able to work with peers and superiors in all departments and outside the company.
- Follow company’s food safety, chemical safety, sexual harassment, discrimination and general employee policies.
- Occasionally perform tasks not described in this position description in order to meet the needs of the company or department.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds repetitively.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and reach for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders repetitively.
- Must be able to wear required Personal Protection Equipment for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to safely and effectively repair or maintenance production-related machinery including, but not limited to: forklifts, agitators, homogenizers, and drum tippers.
- Must be able to perform visual and olfactory observations.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in the maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Proficient in reading and mathematics at the high school graduate level.
- Forklift / Scissor lift certification is preferred.
- Confined Space experience a plus.
- GMP and HACCP training is a plus.
Salary : $25 - $30
