JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, a well-regarded national law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join their Denver office in support of a busy California litigation practice. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative legal team while providing high-level administrative and litigation support.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, edit, proofread, and format legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, correspondence, and court filings.
Coordinate and submit electronic filings in state and federal courts (e-filing experience preferred).
Maintain and organize client files, case records, and legal documentation.
Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, court dates, meetings, and appointments using Outlook and calendaring software.
Arrange travel itineraries and handle attorney expense reports and reimbursements.
Enter, review, and revise attorney time entries, billing information, and litigation task codes.
Assist with pre-bills, client invoices, vendor payments, and check requests.
Provide professional administrative support, including phone coverage and client communication.
Ensure all legal documents are accurate, complete, and filed within required deadlines.
Support attorneys with day-to-day practice management and administrative operations.
Qualifications
Required: California litigation experience.
5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, or Litigation Secretary.
Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, legal terminology, court rules, and document preparation.
Experience with legal technology including LexisNexis, PACER, ECF, Milana, Concur, document management systems, and electronic filing platforms.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience preparing Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities.
Typing speed of 65 WPM with exceptional accuracy.
High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
