Paralegal / Public Adjuster (We Train & License You) -- 3 Openings

$1,000/week base real bonus and commission upside. 100% remote, Eastern hours. We pay for your Public Adjuster exam prep and license. Fast-growing tri-state (NY/NJ/CT) restoration and real estate investment group hiring 3 detail-obsessed paralegals — one pure litigation role, two paralegal-to-Public-Adjuster tracks.

Who We Are

We run two lines of business across NY, NJ, and CT: insurance-funded fire & water damage restoration/reconstruction, and residential fix-and-flip real estate investment. We move fast, close deals, and hold a high standard. You'll work directly with ownership.

Read this first: This is not a role where you get reminded to do your job. We need people who take a task and drive it to completion without being chased.

The 3 Openings

Opening 1 — Litigation Paralegal (Remote, No Travel). Prepares lawsuits and filings, manages liens and deadlines, runs day-to-day legal/admin operations. No adjuster exam or field travel.

Opening 2 — Paralegal → Public Adjuster, NEW YORK. Starts as paralegal/executive assistant; we pay for prep and license you as a NY Public Adjuster. Requires travel to NY loss sites and mastering Xactimate.

Opening 3 — Paralegal → Public Adjuster, NEW JERSEY. Same track, licensed in NJ. Requires travel to NJ loss sites and mastering Xactimate.

For Openings 2 & 3, on-site loss inspection travel is non-negotiable, and you must be committed to passing the Public Adjuster exam on the first attempt.

What You'll Do

Legal & Litigation Support (all roles): Draft and assemble lawsuits, complaints, motions, and supporting documents for attorney review. Manage the litigation calendar — deadlines, filings, service, discovery. Prepare and track mechanic's liens in NY and NJ. Coordinate with outside counsel and maintain organized case files.

Insurance & Public Adjusting (Openings 2 & 3): Pass the PA licensing exam on the first attempt (we pay for prep and licensing). Master Xactimate to build winning, defensible claim estimates. Travel to loss sites to inspect, document, and scope fire/water damage. Negotiate with insurance carriers to maximize recoveries and push claims through to payment.

Real Estate & Project Coordination (all roles): Handle permits, inspections, and municipal approvals. Keep architects, contractors, and subs on schedule. Work with mortgage companies, title, payoffs, and closings. Research and source properties — bonus-eligible.

Client & Executive Support (all roles): Be a polished point of contact for clients, insurers, and vendors. Manage the owner's priorities and scheduling. Own a task-tracking system and drive every item to done.

Compensation

• $1,000/week base salary ($52,000/year)
• $200 bonus for every property you source that results in an accepted offer
• $200 bonus for every pitch that results in a signed job
• Once licensed (Openings 2 & 3): you keep 20% of the public adjusting commission on your claims, on top of salary and bonuses

Strong performers earn well above base.

Must-Haves

• Relentless follow-through — no one should ever have to remind you of your own tasks
• Paralegal experience or certificate (litigation exposure strongly preferred)
• Excellent written and spoken English; professional presence on phone, video, and in person
• Highly organized, tech-quick self-starter (Google Workspace, e-signature, case/task tools)
• Reliable setup and dependable EST availability
• Openings 2 & 3: willing to travel for inspections; committed to first-attempt exam pass

Bonus points: current NY/NJ Public Adjuster license, Xactimate experience, background in restoration/construction/insurance/real estate, bilingual.
