What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Events Coordinator position at AMR and Careers?
- Coordinates with the Managers monthly educational article and public service announcements for distribution to local community newspapers. These can be related to recognized “awareness months” and Company or community special events.
- Maintains and distributes a list of community and special events to meet contract compliance. List should include but not limited to health fairs, awareness walks/runs, and charity fundraisers.
- Coordinates and maintains community education requests from EMS agencies, allied healthcare organizations, community partners, internal and external customers and Company’s Community Education Department on events calendar.
- Maintains accurate records of community and special events and assists in the preparation of the annual reporting documentation for internal and external use.
- Creates and maintains educational and promotional materials and presentations related to Company’s community education objectives.
- Prepares letters, memos, reports, meeting minutes as needed.
- Collaborate with the Managers in ensuring educational programs and classes are available to the community and coordinate and complement public outreach plans.
- Works with the Operations Managers to coordinate operational resources for community and special events and ambulance service donations.
- Schedules BLS CPR classes to meet requests. Assists with the coordination of the CPR training programs in the community.
- Makes contacts with school districts and schedules coverage of school functions (i.e. football games, career days, etc.)
- Maintain confidentiality
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone’s responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problems.
- Ability to use and operate standard office equipment and tools. (i.e. Copier/Scanner/Printer/Phone/Fax)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets
- Advanced working knowledge of databases
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook) Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of CAD
