Job purpose
The Industrial Maintenance Lead is an integral part of the Watson Metal Masters Facilities Maintenance team. The Maintenance team works together to ensure all equipment is in good working order and the facilities are kept nice, clean, and operable.
The Industrial Maintenance Lead is responsible for leading the maintenance technicians and daily attention and repair to all equipment, machinery, tools and the general facilities that houses Watson Metal Masters and its subsidiaries. Maintenance Leads are trusted to prioritize demands and develop their team members. We develop our team members through patience, guidance and by creating a safe environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be able to train and lead others in mechanical applications.
- Maintain a supportive, positive atmosphere by adhering to our core values in everything you do.
- Advise team members of job requirements and ensure their personal efficiency and consistent, proper training.
- Continually look for growth and cross-training opportunities within your department and throughout American Products.
- Lead your team in the direction of continuous improvement, encouraging them to identify non-value-added waste.
- Install and set up both A/C and D/C drives.
- Read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Working knowledge of encoders and various types of sensors.
- Basic welding skills.
- Familiar with pumps; both air and electrical
- Able to install and troubleshoot 3 phase motor control circuits.
- Knowledge of various types of sensors and limit switches
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of power transmission equipment, bearings, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- 2-3 years of Cand C machinery, Press Shears and Lasers, breaks system installation and troubleshooting experience Desired but not necessary.
- Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial/electronic controls, and power transmission systems.
- Understands hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Electrical, up to 480v three phases.
- 3-5 years in troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems down to component level.
