Summary
The Quality Technician is an integral part of our Quality team. The Quality Technician must comply with all safety rules and procedures. This position is responsible for ensuring product quality, performing process audits, product inspections, and functional testing as required.

Employee must be able to enter tight spaces, and have the ability to regularly work at heights ranging from 4’ – 30’, working off scaffolds, walk boards, ladders, scissor lifts and boom lifts.
Must observe safety procedures and use equipment and materials properly; must wear safety glasses and steel toe boots.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspects products for proper dimensions, and assembly according to customer specifications.
- Perform process audits.
- Perform problem solving analysis.
- Perform product layouts.
- Inspects welds for defects.
- Inspects material for visual defects.
- Perform in depth product testing.
- Develops product checks.
- Perform containment activities as necessary.
- Collect and interpret defect data from internal inspections and customer findings.
- Collect, issue, track, and maintain gages.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- General knowledge of ASME code compliance
- Minimum of 1-year related experience and/or technical training or 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; relevant college level coursework or other technical training preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, shop floor documentation, customer specifications/diagrams, instructions provided by supervisors/managers.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as: calipers, micrometers, protractors; ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in order to compute rate, ratios, and percentage.
- Ability to understand and follow operational procedures.
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
- Must have knowledge of and ability to use manufacturing software (i.e., Syteline).
