We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to support our Tier 2 / Tier 3 accounts.RESPONSIBILITIES:The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving revenue growth and design-win activities within a customer-defined region made up of on Tier 2 and Tier 3 accounts. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical sales engagement. You will lead and develop a regional sales team, manage direct and indirect sales channels, and work closely with customers, Field Applications Engineers, and internal product teams to deliver innovative interconnect solutions.As the Regional Sales Manager, you will develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with global objectives and ensure achievement of sales budgets. You will manage selling expenses including headcount, travel, and regional costs, while maintaining accurate monthly forecasts and latest estimates.Recruit, manage, and mentor sales team members to improve performanceAnalyze and coach the team to achieve individual and regional goalsCreate account plans for Tier 2 and Tier 3 customers and ensure adequate coverage within budgetIdentify and develop new accounts consistent with company objectivesPromote and sell Amphenol products to established customers and new prospectsDrive design-win activities by working with customer engineering teams to integrate Amphenol solutionsCollaborate with Field Sales Engineers, Field Applications Engineers, and Business Units to support technical aspects of the sales cycleBuild strong relationships with management teams at strategic accountsTrack orders, revenue, and design-win progress by accountMaintain a thorough understanding of market trends and competitive landscapeKeep informed of new products and industry developmentsTravel to customers in the Bay Area, as well as manufacturing facilities globally, and various other customer office locations.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business5 years of sales and marketing experience in the electronics industry, ideally with interconnect solutions3 years of sales leadership experience, managing a team of Sales professionals in a fast-paced environment, ideally within technical component-level salesDemonstrated experience leading and participating in high-performing formal and informal cross-functional teams on a regional and global basis.SKILLS:Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage regional objectivesAbility to communicate effectively across engineering and managerial functionsTechnical aptitude to understand interconnect solutions and customer design challengesProven ability to negotiate design wins, contracts, and strategic partnershipsSelf-motivated with strong analytical and business skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CAD tools (Pro E or SolidWorks) is a plusThe base salary range for this position is $117,734 – $187,300 USD annually. In determining rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol’s total rewards package which includes participation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical, dental, and vision benefits effective day 1, vacation, sick leave, personal days, paid holidays, life insurance, short/long term disability, and matching 401K.
