LABORER

Summary:

Coordinate and assist Apprentice Plumbers/Plumbers to maintain, repair and install all types of plumbing equipment, domestic water systems, sewer systems, and related devices. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Essential duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

• Prepare sites to ensure maximum optimization of construction work procedures
• Clean debris, trash and hazardous materials on site
• Dig trenches and pour concrete as instructed
• Assist in stalling sewerage pipes and drains
• Transport materials and equipment from one place to another on site
• Clean and maintain tools
• Align components according to blue prints
• Load and unload equipment from trucks

Qualification:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 6 months - 1 year of construction, residential and/or commercial construction, preferably in plumbing
• Osha 10-hour certificate would be helpful
• Frist aid certificate would be helpful

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 30 pounds. This position may require working in an outdoor or indoor working environment, working in seasonal heat or cold adverse weather conditions. Exposure to fumes, dust, odors, oil, grease and gases. It may also require exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials, working around and with machinery having moving parts, working from heights and in confined work spaces.
