Interim Quality Director Needed in Ottumwa, IA!
The Position
- An Interim Quality Director is needed to lead hospital quality and performance improvement efforts.
- Reporting to the CNO, this leader will oversee four FTEs.
- Key responsibilities include spot-checking action plans from the most recent Joint Commission survey, supporting regulatory and accreditation readiness, strengthening hospital risk awareness, and overseeing federal reporting requirements, including core measures and NHSN reporting.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with Joint Commission and regulatory requirements, knowledge of hospital risk, and familiarity with federal reporting expectations. Must be highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
- Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in hospital quality leadership is required, including regulatory preparedness, core measures, NHSN reporting, sepsis bundle compliance, and performance improvement.

- Compensation Range: $160,000 to $170,000 annually.
- The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
