Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage waitlists, and seat guests efficiently to optimize flow and satisfaction
- Coordinate private events, banquets, and catering functions from planning through execution, ensuring all details align with client expectations
- Negotiate contracts with clients for event bookings, ensuring mutually beneficial terms while maintaining profitability
- Upsell menu items, beverages, and event packages to enhance guest experience and increase revenue opportunities
- Manage event logistics including setup and decor arrangements
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and resolving issues proactively to ensure a positive experience
- Manage client communications, including responding to inquiries, providing event details, and following up as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in marketing and promoting events to attract new clientele
- Expertise in upselling techniques to maximize revenue during guest interactions
- Knowledge of event marketing strategies and event planning processes from conception to completion
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown
- Effective time management to handle multiple events simultaneously without compromising quality
- Experience in events management including banquet operations, catering coordination, and venue setup
- Budgeting skills for managing costs associated with events
- Clear communication skills with guests and team members
- Organizational skills necessary for detailed planning, scheduling, and execution of events
- Familiarity with banquet service standards and hotel or restaurant operations
