Location: Irvine, CA 92618
Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)
Pay Rate: $60.00 – $65.00/hr (depending on experience)
Relocation Expenses/ Assistance: NO

Schedule:
- Standard business hours, Monday–Friday
- Onsite role in Irvine, CA
Must-Have Requirements:
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience managing New Product Development and/or complex projects
- Strong understanding of medical device development, regulatory requirements, and product lifecycle processes
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or related field preferred)
- Experience leading projects from initiation through commercialization
- Ability to work effectively in complex, matrixed environments
Job Description:
The Engineering Project Manager will support the PMO team by leading medium to large-scale projects across the full product lifecycle, including product development, clinical evaluation, operational readiness, and commercialization of medical device products. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in compliance with quality systems, design controls, and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage one or more medium to large-scale projects within a program, ensuring adherence to Quality Systems and Design Control processes
- Lead all phases of project execution including initiation, planning, budgeting, execution, documentation, control, and closeout
- Develop and manage detailed project plans covering scope, quality, risk, communication, and staffing
- Facilitate development and approval of project business cases and coordinate cross-project resource prioritization
- Execute project plans and provide accurate, timely status updates to stakeholders
- Lead core team and cross-functional meetings to drive execution and decision-making
- Serve as a project and program management SME and mentor peers as needed
- Build strong stakeholder relationships through clear, transparent communication
- Drive resolution of complex issues while maintaining project momentum
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering or related field preferred
- 2–5 years of project management experience in medical devices or regulated product development
- Proven ability to manage projects across the full product lifecycle
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Additional Qualifications:
- PMP certification preferred
- Experience balancing priorities across multiple functional teams
- Ability to influence peers, team members, and leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PMO environments in large, global organizations
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and project management tools
