AmeriQual Foods - Palletizer 1st & 2nd Shift

Job Title:  Palletizer 1             

Reports To:  Production Supervisor

Position Type/Expected Hours: This is a full-time, non-exempt position.  Position may be assigned either 1^st shift or 2^nd shift hours.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of Palletizer 1 is to palletize products from the production line in an efficient, accurate manner per product palletization guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify codes, materials, and retort rack configurations
• Operate the components of the production line, including troubleshooting and communicating any issues to proper supervision
• Generate and maintain proper records for finished goods, defects, etc.
• Identify and use proper stack patterns per specific product or customer specs
• Pull and document samples for QA and USDA testing
• Maintain a pace that matches production line requirements
• Communicate issues to line operator and/or production supervisor
• Contribute to company efforts by accomplishing other related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• General math and reading skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with other team members

• Ability to follow all work instructions and safety procedures

• Strong organizational and time management skills

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, team members are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively with a high level of dexterity; reach with hands and arms and lift up to 35 pounds. Pushing/pulling/moving objects weighing up to 2000 pounds using specialized tools, equipment, and machines is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.   Position will also frequent the production floor, so operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required. Pushing/pulling/moving objects, and using specialized tools and equipment is required. Work is completed in a facility where nuts, fruits and other allergens are present.
