What are the responsibilities and job description for the Library Corps position at AmeriCorps?
Library Corps members serve in one of two key roles: Tech Coach: Help patrons build digital skills, navigate technology, and access online resources Outreach Member: Support community connection by attending community outreach events, drafting of social media content, and promotion of Outreach programs Both roles are focused on reducing social isolation and strengthening community connections. Whether you're helping someone send their first email or connecting a family to community resources, your service will make a difference.

Member Duties : Tech Coaches work as digital guides helping individuals navigate the digital landscape, obtain digital literacy skills, and find needed government benefits and community services. The Library’s provide digital learning opportunities through drop-in sessions at the Library branches. Outreach members attend community outreach events, draft social media content that highlights the Library’s community engagement efforts and enhance existing outreach promotional materials. Serving as liaison between the Library and the community, this role is responsible for promoting Library services and resources to a wide audience.
